Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP)
Free, unbiased Medicare counseling in Michigan. Trained counselors go through your costs and choices with you, and they don't sell plans.
Medicare and health costs
Michigan Medicaid covers people 65 and older through AD-Care, which uses an income limit of the poverty level plus $20 and a savings limit of $9,950 for one person, well above most states.
Members get vision, dental and mental health care. If your income is over the limit, Michigan assigns a deductible, and you may still qualify once your medical bills reach it.
Applying is free. Nobody should charge you to apply.
