How Nevada is different

Where Nevada's rules differ from the federal rules for Property tax relief for seniors.

  • No age-based or income-based property tax exemption, freeze or rebate for older people
  • The 3% cap limits the bill itself, so it helps every owner who lives in the home, whatever their age or income
  • New construction and property with a change of use don't get a cap in their first year
