Arkansas SSI supplement

Arkansas does not add a state payment to SSI for people who apply today.

Checked

If you qualify for SSI, the full federal amount comes from Social Security, and there is nothing extra to apply for with the state.

Good to know

  • Social Security's list of state supplement programs shows no optional state supplement in Arkansas.
  • Arkansas still pays a small required supplement, through Social Security, only to people who were on the state's old aid programs in December 1973.
