Income and Social Security
Minnesota Supplemental Aid (MSA) adds a state payment for people on SSI, based on a standard of need set in state law rather than a flat amount.
The standard for one person who lives alone started at $519 a month and rises with each SSI cost-of-living increase. The state runs it and pays it separately from your SSI.
