Good to know

  • Virginia lists its income limits as straight poverty-level amounts and sets aside the first $20 of monthly income before comparing, so $1,330 here lines up with the federal $1,350.
  • Your home, one car, burial plots, household furnishings and personal jewelry don't count toward the savings limit.
