Medicare and health costs
Connecticut's Department of Social Services runs three Medicare Savings Programs: QMB, SLMB and ALMB, which is Connecticut's name for QI.
Connecticut's income limits are far higher than the federal ones, and there is no savings limit. QMB pays your Medicare premiums, deductibles and coinsurance; SLMB and ALMB pay your Part B premium.
Applying is free. Nobody should charge you to apply.
