How Colorado is different

Where Colorado's rules differ from the federal rules for SNAP for seniors.

  • No interview at the 12-month report or at renewal for households where everyone is 60 or older or disabled and no one works, unless the household asks for one or there are open questions

Good to know

  • Colorado's work rule for adults without children (ABAWDs) now covers ages 18 to 64, so people 60 to 64 who are able to work and don't live with a child under 14 may need to meet it unless exempt.
