How Kansas is different

Where Kansas's rules differ from the federal rules for SNAP for seniors.

  • No renewal interview for households where every adult is 60 or older or disabled, no one works and nothing has changed, as long as they send any proof asked for. You can still ask for an interview.

Good to know

  • Kansas doesn't use broad-based categorical eligibility, so the savings limit applies at every income level.
